People Analytics Hackathon with Middlesex University
In collaboration with Middlesex University, we hosted our first-ever People Analytics Hackathon, marking an exciting milestone for our network. This event brought together 40 talented students from the Masters of HR and Business Analytics programs, offering them a hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of people analytics.
Participants were tasked with a real-world challenge: understanding the drivers behind employee attrition. Armed with specific datasets, they had just four hours to analyze, model, and uncover insights that could explain the underlying causes of attrition. Throughout the hackathon, the People Analytics Network provided mentoring and coaching, guiding students on how to frame their analysis in a business context, ensuring they approached it as a true organizational challenge.
The quality of the students' work was outstanding. Their final presentations demonstrated not only their analytical skills but also their ability to translate data into actionable insights. It was inspiring to witness their enthusiasm for the topic, and the event served as a platform to mentor and develop future leaders in the field of people analytics. We are proud to be fostering interest and talent in this growing field, particularly in the UAE.
This hackathon was a significant step toward building the next generation of people analytics professionals in the region, and we look forward to more such collaborations in the future.
